How to Fix Microsoft excel is waiting for another application to complete an ole action

Whenever I do a particular copy paste in excel, my excel file freezes and after waiting for a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the amount of data copied, I get this error 'Microsoft Excel OLE Waiting for another application to complete. action'

I tried a few things like this but to no avail and the problem persists.

 

first troubleshooting

1. Open Excel sheet and go to File menu. In the File menu, click Options.

2. An Excel Options dialog box will appear. Go to the Advanced tab and scroll down to the General area. Ignore the other applications out there that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE).

3. Restart Excel.

 

Second troubleshooting

Tried to open Excel in Safe Mode

 

Third troubleshooting

Removed all add ins

 

Fourth troubleshooting

Re-installed MS Office.
